Welcome to our Reception class page.

My name is Mrs Lewis and I am the Reception class teacher. Throughout the children’s time in Reception they will experience a rich balance of both focussed learning and meaningful play.
The children’s well-being and happiness is always at the heart of everything we do. Our days are filled with fun and laughter, both in the classroom and outdoors. We love nothing more than seeing the children grow and learn throughout the year.

Our lEarning enviroNment

Our learning environment consists of the classroom area, the rainbow room, the outdoor area and our beautiful woods. We have many places throughout the day where our learning and exploring takes place ... not forgetting the kitchen. We do love to cook up a storm in Reception!
Pupil voice is an important feature in the Reception classroom. Pupils are actively involved in planning their own learning activities and making choices about how and what they would like to learn.
A popular feature of the Reception classroom is Mission Time where the children have the opportunity to access the enhanced and continuous provision independently.
